Quarterly Newsletter Issue #1
For over forty years, the Center for Third World Organizing has been at the forefront of movement building. In this moment, marked by increased harassment from federal agents, the rollback of environmental and human rights protections, and the rise of open bigotry and fascism in our communities, the need for bold, skilled organizers is urgent.
That’s why, beginning in 2026, you’ll hear from us quarterly.
This newsletter is your space to stay connected to our work and broader movement ecosystem. Inside, you’ll find upcoming trainings, practical tools and resources, field reports from organizers on the ground, and opportunities to engage with our national partners. We’ll send it just once each quarter, and when we do, it will be substantive, thoughtful, and actionable.
We are not here to fill quotas or to clog your inbox with solicitations. We are here to ensure that the most critical information, strategies, and growth opportunities are directly in your hands.
Together, we are not only resisting the forces of this moment but also building toward a liberated and beautiful future.
We look forward to building this with you.
Explore what’s ahead below, and we’ll see you back at the top of your inbox next quarter.
Notes From the Field
We combat fascism through disciplined organizing; building resilient communities, strengthening political education, sharpening skills, and standing firm in our collective commitment to justice.
As we look toward the months ahead, one thing is clear: this summer will require strong organizers, a clear strategy, and people ready to move together.
We are looking for partners in the South, Midwest, East Coast, and West Coast. To learn more, click here.
Liberatory Leadership
We are thrilled to announce out 2025-2026 Praxis Vision & Rising Cohorts. These programs support Black-led organizations and projects to build values-driven, liberatory organizational structures that can endure, evolve, and prefigure the kinds of institutions required for individual transformation and collective liberation.
We welcome; To Restore Unite Support and Transform (TRUST), TWOC Healing Project (Trans Women of Color), JL Soul Camp, Ifa For Kids, United Men of Color, God Synt Cleaning Services, Sankofa Roots, The ART Project (Ancestry Research Training), The Sanctuary, Black Monday, Gideon's Army, Alief Clovers, Boi's Club, Auntie Got It: Community Doula + Support, Rootz Durham, and Waterflowlife
This season, we continue to explore what it means to lead in ways that free us — strengthening movements that are bold, resilient, and deeply human.
