| Danise Sugita |
 Danise Sugita is a 22-year-old Japanese American who is currently attending the University of California, Berkeley with a double major in Sociology and Asian American Studies. She is part of the organization, Bears United in Literacy Development (BUILD) and tutors in an afterschool program at an elementary school in West Oakland. She is also involved with the disabled community and works for the Disabled Students' Program as an attendant. In fall '06, Danise will also be working as an Asian Pacific American Student Development (APASD) intern and will help bring awareness to the issues that the APA community is currently facing. |
