 Kori Chen is 22 year-old Asian American who recently graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a degree in Sociology. At school, Kori was actively involved in the Asian Pacific Islander Student Alliance and the Ethnic Student Organization Council, a coalition of progressive ethnic student orgs on campus. His organizing work focused primarily on increasing and strengthening university outreach and retention efforts to at-risk students of color, as well as addressing the university's lack of an Ethnic Studies Department, which is still absent. |
